Ceremony Locations

The Noosa area has some of the most iconic and world renowned photographic locations for your wedding day, equal to anywhere in the world. Our most recognised sites are situated along the beautiful Noosa Boardwalk, with grass or sand underfoot, Casuarina trees offering shade above, and the Noosa Heads main beach and across to the Coloured sands behind.

Maison La Plage Grove.

This is the most popular ceremony location for 100+ guest list weddings and is the most manicured of the beach ceremony spots. With a beautiful green lawn surrounded by native trees & bushes it really is a must to consider for your special day.


Casuarina Gardens.

* Access #17
* Capacity up to 60
For those who prefer a more natural spot for their ceremony, Casuarina Gardens should be at the top of your list. The Casuarina trees that give it it’s name provide a relaxed feel for this spot while still having a lovely view of the beach through the trees.

Hidden Grove

A private ceremony location hidden amongst the trees, while still being close to the Hastings St restaurants and cafés, this is the second most popular spot for Noosa Beach ceremonies

With native trees scattered throughout the clearing and a beautiful view of the beach, this is a lovely spot for a wedding ceremony. In the late afternoon, there is gorgeous golden light spilling through the trees, giving a beautiful & warm feel to this location.

Beach Access #12

* Capacity up to 60
This is the most private spot on Noosa Main Beach as there are less people that frequent this section of beach. Perfect for intimate weddings when you want to have the sand between their toes and have a beautiful view of both rock walls.Take a lovely walk from the car park through to the forested dunes on the way to the ceremony.

First Point Pathway

Popular with surfer couples who love our famous beach break at First Point Noosa. Suitable for small gatherings, up to 20 guests. Like Little Cove Deck, it can be quite bright late in the day, so consider early mornings or right on sunset for softer light.

Weddings are not to be held on the beach at First Point. Please go to Access 12 or Little Cove if you want your ceremony on the sand.

Little Cove Beach

Little Cove Beach, a five minute walk towards the National Park from the eastern end of Hastings St is a truly special place to tie the knot, with a wooden staircase leading down to this stunning beach surrounded on either side by natural rock formations.
This spot is only recommended for intimate weddings due to parking difficulties and it’s only suitable during an outgoing tide from half-tide onwards. The amount of sand on the beach varies throughout the year with less sand early in the year after the summer storm season.

Noosa Woods

At the western end of Hastings with plenty of room to suit any sized wedding, Noosa Woods is a great ceremony location to consider especially in October when onshore winds can be a problem on Noosa Main Beach. It is a relatively sheltered park area with a beautiful wooden jetty that many people use to send their guests on a boat cruise on the Noosa River

Noosa National Park

A short drive from Hastings St. Permits can be obtained from the Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sports & Racing (not council). Strict restrictions now apply so check for latest rulings.

Little Cove Platform

Perfect for a couple wanting to elope in Noosa. Walk along the new Noosa boardwalk to this idyllic spot overlooking the ocean and the Noosa North Shore.

Laguna Lookout

On top of Noosa Hill with views over Main Beach, the river and Hinterland. Access by car via Viewland Drive.

Ceremonies need to be registered with Noosa National Park. Council will happily take a booking fee even though it’s not their jurisdiction!

Beautiful old Moreton Bay fig trees with views across the lawn to Noosa River.

Noosa Marina Helipad

Capacity up to 150 guests

The “helipad” at the Noosa Marina is a very popular ceremony location for those having their wedding reception at either the Riverdeck Restaurant or the Rump House. It is a beautiful river front location, close to many accommodation options as well.

Amphitheater Noosa Botanic Gardens

20 minutes drive north of Noosa Heads on the shores of Lake MacDonald near the hinterland town of Cooroy. The gardens have water views over Lake MacDonald. There are seven separate areas within the gardens including, the Amphitheatre, Bridal Walk, Open Lawn, Bicentennial Gardens, Bushland Chapel, Phoenix Palm Lawn and the Lakeside Lawn Paved Circle.

Sunshine to Peregian Beach

Beautiful beaches just south of Noosa with many access points available.
Rolling sand dunes leading onto a vast stretch of beautiful white beach.
Being exposed east facing ocean beaches, you can expect it to be windier and the sound of the waves to be much louder than north facing Noosa Main Beach.


Sound Park. Quamby Place.

  • On the river next to Rickys River Bar and Restaurant.

  • Shaded by tall gum trees and with a jetty for river access.

  • Fresh water tap, and seating and swings (ideal for kids)

  • More great cafes and restaurants line the side of the park.

Ravenwood Park. Noosa Parade.

  • On the water front opposite Ravenwood drive.

  • Looks like a vacant block of land between houses with a small fishing jetty.

  • A lovely big old tree for afternoon shade.

  • Can be dressed up nice for a wedding.

Sunshine Beach Surf Club, Duke St, Sunshine Beach

Chaplin Park

  • Capacity any size

    Centrally located in Noosaville, opposite the Noosa Yacht & Rowing Club This is a popular ceremony location for those having receptions just across the pedestrian bridge at the Waterfront restaurant. It is a large park with many specific locations to choose from.

Lions Park, Gympie Terrace Noosaville

  • Undercover and out of the weather, so it’s a great wet weather option

  • Looks better when decorated

  • Must be booked through Noosa Council

Quota Park. Gympie Terrace, Noosaville

  • Capacity up to 100

  • A very popular location for those having their wedding reception at the Boathouse Floating Restaurant. A beautiful park, right next to the river, providing a lovely location for your wedding.

Eli Park, Gympie Terrace, Noosaville.

  • Behind the tennis courts near the boat ramp on Gympie Terrace.

  • Timber platform on the river front

RSL Park, Ponciana Drive,Tewantin

  • Capacity any size

  • Beautiful old Moreton Bay fig trees with views across the lawn to Noosa River.

  • Next to Noosa Council Chambers.

Ferries & Boats

There are several Ferry and Cruise companies based on the Noosa River.  Ceremonies and even wedding receptions can be held on board. Guests can be taken to a surprise location on a private sand bar/island; or boats can collect your guests from your Noosa Boardwalk ceremony site for a cruise of the river, disembarking at your waterfront reception.
